Present from P.
26 short stories - a mixed bag of styles and locations and subject matter - which made for a good read and nice introduction to new authors.
Some resonated with me more than others - Nam Le, Nicholas Shakespeare (read before), Marion Halligan (and others) but there were only a couple I didn't enjoy reading.
DF in her introduction says, "...I would like to think that there is something still specifically Australian about our own version of the transnational, and that this is the combination of a canny, confident sense of ourselves as well-informed world citizens with a certain feral joy."
