Winner of several awards, and praised as an outstanding first novel - agree it was a good read, but read Peter Temple straight after and realised that Harper still has more polish to add to her style to be a really good writer.
Policeman Aaran Falk returns to his home town after many years for his best friend's funeral and gets drawn into the investigation to solve the murder.
Very evocative of the drought-ridden rural landscape and interesting twisty plot and good character development.
A good read.
